Too much? Too little? What light or heavy menstrual cycles can mean

Very rarely does someone complain about having a light cycle. Less muss, less fuss.  If however, your period has recently become more light than it usually is, your body may be trying to tell you something.

From an Asian Medicine perspective, it could indicate that the energy of your blood needs to be strengthened. It could also mean that your blood needs to be “moved”. Heavy cycles, meaning having to frequently change pads to prevent blood from leaking through your clothes, can indicate the presence of heat, or also the possibility of a mass, such as a fibroid.  For certain if you have heavy periods, you should ixnay on the alcohol-ay. It can make a heavy cycle even heavier. Stay tuned for what an irregular cycle could mean.
