After last month’s series about sex, this month we will discuss why as we approach winter you may want to consider having less sex for awhile. We also explore other ways to be in harmony with the upcoming season, for better overall and yoni health.
Mother Earth shows us just what to do. From a Asian Medicine standpoint, the sun is associated with yang energy which is activity. During this time of “shorter days” or less sunlight, less activity is key. Now, living in the 21st century, that can seem pretty impossible to do. Obviously most of us aren’t able to take off from work for a season, but this principle can be incorporated by decreasing your activity: hang out less late and get more sleep. During the summer months when our qi is more to the surface, it is more easily accessible, and so it is in alignment to do more then, but just the opposite happens in the winter. Our qi, goes deeper in our bodies and we should follow it, in whatever way we can, so hibernate as much as you can!
